The brief to convert the property at Bury Old Road was for large family accomodation. IGL produced an inovative design to provide 2No large 4 bedroom self-contained apartments.
The particular challenge of this scheme was to minimise the external impact and alteration within the constraints of the local conservation area. Through a regime of acoustic pre-testing, IGL were able to minimise the cost of the conversion utilising significant parts of the previous conversion.
During the contract period the project team significantly redesigned the garden areas to suit the specific needs of the new tenants.
The project was completed slightly beyond programmed completion, however significant additional works were incorporated into the scheme at the request of the Client.
