Cyclists Return to the Hills!
Not put off by their previous visit to the Lake District the intrepid trio of Mike, Dave and Chris returned to the area, this time to take on the Ambleside Epic! Fortunately for the trio, exceptionally warm weather for November combined with a beautiful part of the country ensured an enjoyable days ride.
Energy Performance Certificates (EPC’s) – Update
From 1 October 2008 EPC’s became obligatory for all buildings when constructed, sold or let. It is the responsibility of the landlord / building owner to ensure that an appropriate certificate has been produced and passed to prospective buyers / tenants. The report should state current energy usage and make recommendations for improvement. In addition, all public buildings over 1000m2 will require a ‘Display Energy Certificate’ stating their current energy usage which should be clearly displayed.
GL are pleased to announce that they are now in a position to be able to offer a complete Energy Performance package to clients. In cooperation with qualified energy assessors, IGL are able to provide the necessary certification for all buildings to meet with the current legislative requirements. This includes Energy Performance Certificates for both dwellings and non-dwellings and Display Energy Certificates for public buildings. IGL will be pleased to guide clients through the legislation and deliver the production of certification with the minimum of disruption.
For further information please contact Mike on 0161 209 4445 or email: mike@iglsurveying.co.uk.
IGL are pleased to report that John Lynn has been appointed Managing Director of IGL.
In addition to being responsible for the day to day running of the practice in Stockport, John will over coming months take on an increasing role in client liaison and feedback in relation to current projects and more importantly future joint opportunities.
IGL are looking to improve the service we give to our clients and believe that with more knowledge of the issues affecting our clients procurement of projects, funding and future strategy, we will be able to make a greater contribution to the business development of our clients and needless to say IGL as well.

Fortunate enough to pick the only dry day for over 3 weeks an intrepid group of cyclists got their bikes and took to the hills to the East of Marple, near Stockport.
Following a gruelling 3 hours, excruciating for some, the group returned, all intact but somewhat colder and wetter! However once dried off and changed they settled quite happily in front of an open fire in a local establishment with a pint of the Landlord's finest.
