Summary

Located on the North Shore area of Blackpool, in a street of predominantly holiday accommodation.  This 1920’s three storey hotel was purchased by Terra Nova with a view to converting it into self contained flats for sale.

Through IGL’s experience of converting properties of this type and age, they were able to maximise usage by adding a single storey ground floor extension and a dormer roof extension that allowed four flats to be provided.  These flats included 2 No. two bedroom maisonette flats and a large three bedroom loft style apartment.

As the property was located adjacent to existing hotels, it was important that the development was as attractive as possible to buyers in order to offset the disadvantage of living amongst holiday accommodation. IGL worked closely with the main contractor to tailor the specification and finishes to appeal to private buyers whilst ensuring that costs remained at reasonable levels.
